Welcome to the page where I introduce myself in more detail. My name is Nicolas Fischer, short Nick, or Cheeryo when you meet me online. I live near Augsburg, Germany where I went to school and studied for my bachelor and master's degree in Interactive Media (where I specialized in video game development).

Soon after I was done with university I found a job at a Indie Game Dev Studio, called Salmi Games which is located in Munich. I worked there on 2 projects for over 3 years. There my main tasks were Game and Level Design with a litle bit of storytelling. I was also in charge of balancing all mechanics to keep the game fair and interesting.

I worked on a VR roguelite shooter called Sweet Surrender and finished a vertical slice of a new project that's also a VR shooter but puts its focus on cooperative multiplayer.

Since I was a child, I was a huge fan of games, especially video games. One of the games I still remember from my childhood was Tomb Raider 1 & 2 that I watched my older sister play. From early on I had a deep interest in making games and creating things like enemies, bosses and levels in games.

I would describe myself as responsible, enthusiastic, patient and humorous. I can quickly fit into a team and I know what it means to work together with multiple people in a project. At Salmi Games, I always worked closely together with my colleagues and assured I got their feedback regularly because I am aware of how important it is to get opinions different from my own.
