Juno's not so Jaunty Journey

I made this game during my master thesis. It is a 2.5D jump & run platformer game where you have to jump and dash to avoid different obstacles throughout the level.

The game contains 5 different levels with increasing difficulty and an impression of the first world. It works quite well as a vertical slice in this state.

I made this game mostly by myself. I did the Game Design, Level Design, Programming and 3D Modelling, Texturing, Rigging and Animation. The 2D concepts were made by the artist Rockangelart (Instagram).

At the end of my Master Thesis I was given the opportunity to present my game to the public. It recieved overwhelmingly positive feedback despite some minor things that still needed to be tweaked and changed.

We made The Abyss Below as a team of 5 people in the 1st and 2nd semester of our Master study. It is a 3D Roguelike Action Adventure.

You’re a mighty robotic warrior created by the city of Helios and got sent far beneath the city into the ocean to uncover the mysteries that lay down there. Hordes of hostile creatures and monsters wait for you and will try to allure you from moving further.

In this project I was mainly responsible for Programming and 3D Modelling and Texturing. I also helped a lot with Game Design by creating enemy and level ideas.

It was a great experience because I didn't work on this game mostly through the lenses of a Game Designer, but also as a programmer and 3D Artist. This helped me as a Game Designer to understand the work of the fields in Game Development.

I made this game for my bachelor thesis. It is a 2.5D local multiplayer platformer game. You compete against up to 3 other players to reach the goal first.

To achieve that you have to avoid falling blocks in different shapes while climbing them up. There is a wide variety of items available that give you an advantage over your enemies.

This was the first game I programmed all by myself. For this I used Unity as an engine and C# as scripting language. Starting from zero, I acquired a good amount of programming skills.

This was the first big game project during my bachelor. It was an adaptation of a board game that a colleague created, so basically transfering a physical game into digital.

The goal of the game was to fight monsters, to get stronger and to defeat the villain first before the other players get the chance to do so.

I took the role of the Game Design Lead and created the ideas and concepts how to adapt the existing mechanics so that they work in a video game. I was also responsible for balancing the game and helped with managing the project.

Golden Quest

Tower Throw

We made this game in a group of three in a mini Game Jam during one weekend for a subject about special interaction applications. Virtual Reality back then was still quite new and we wanted to try out how it is to make a VR game.

In the game you stand on top of a tower. You can pick up the objects that were on the ground and throw them with the controllers of the HTC Vive trying to hit several colored marks or moving monsters.

For each mark and monster hit you got points depending on how difficult they were to hit.
